camp update

Well, I've survived week number 2! There were times that this week felt really long, but now it's done. On top of my custodial duties and canteen I also am pushing the power point buttons in chapel. This week was definitly a good week for that. My station is right in the middle of all the campers singing. This week they all sounded so beautiful. It was so inspiring to hear all these children singing praises to our wonderful God. They may still be young but I could tell that when they were singing they meant what they were singing and it was just amazing. Coming out of this week I definitly feel very tired but there have been many times were I felt encouraged and I know God will pull me through. Now the summer is 25% over and before you know it, it'll be fall and I'll be starting school. I'm pretty pumped for that. Well that's all for now.

and so camp begins

So, again it's been awhile. Well, camp started today. It was pretty sweet. I had my first day doing all I do. Now what do I do you may be wondering... Well let me tell you. I get to clean bathrooms, make sure the chapel is clean, I run canteen, and I do whateverelse they tell me to do. So, I don't know how exciting it sounds, but I had a great first day. It was kind of crazy trying to figure out when I should do what but God is big so I know I'll figure that out soon. Well I'm tired now so bye.

This is why I should never be allowed to stay up past 11

Yesterday I was off and I really wanted to do something fun and have some adenture of sorts. Well the day started out very slow and I was very very bored with nothing to do. By the evening the most exciting thing I had done was going to my grandparents for supper. Then all of a sudden it was 11:30 and I came up with a brilliant idea. We should all go for pizza! Well, nobody else was really sold on that idea so we watched and episode of Dinosaurs instead. If anyone remembers that show, I think it is the funniest ever. After that we went back to the dorm and I was able to get one other girl to go for pizza with me. So off to Boston Pizza we went at 12:30. When we got there and got our pizza, our waiter was very interesting. He told us what he was actually supposed to do when he brought people their pizza. Apparently their supposed to ask if they can serve us the first slice and then serve it to someone and then walk away. Talk about leaving the other people feeling shafted. It was late and I got a huge kick out of this! Then when we went to pay, our waiter asked me if I had an older sister, maybe he thought I looked familer. I responded by saying, "No, but I have an older brother who looks kind of girly, he wore my pants once!" Talk about sounding like an idiot. I was really over tired, so Ed if you read this, ummmm oops! It was quite the adventure, only got to bed around two, but it was worth it. If any of you know how I get when I stay up to late, oh dear, it's quite the sight to see, hahahaha!

hauling rocks!

So I haven't posted in awhile. It's not that I haven't had time, it's more like I've done soo much and I just don't know what to post. We had a bunch of Hutterites at camp today. They're super fun. In the afternoon there wasn't too much for me to do, so I was told to go haul rocks. We just got some new rocks to put by the play structure and they all needed to be spread out. This was quite the task. They may have only been little pebbles, but there were lots of them. Some of the hutterite kids thought they'd help me which I thought was great. It just meant that I had to watch them shovel into a wheelbarrow while watching the other ones slide on the slide and figure out where to put the rocks. What an adventure! "Audrey! Watch me!" was a phrase I heard every ten seconds. Now just try to imagine that with a hutterite accent. Too funny!!! So for two hours this afternoon I hauled rocks and I have a feeling that I'm gonna be pretty sore tomorrow, let's hope not though.
That's all for now folks,

finally an update

Ok, so I've been a little busy lately but I figured I'd finally update ya with this blog thinger. Camp is going really good, it's busy but it's really good. This week we started getting school groups and they don't stop till summer. I've been spending most of my days in the kitchen. I don't mind this at all but the one thing that drives me nuts is waiting for food and seeing everyone eating before me. I get so hungry but hey that's life I guess. Not really sure what else to say but life is good here.

Would you eat it?

I was vaccuuming out my parent's car yesterday and I found an open package of reese peanut butter cups under the seat. There were two whole cups left. Now my question is.... would you eat them?
Well... I sure did and they were pretty good. That's my story.
